About Me

This is Me!

My story

“If you do not prioritize your life, someone else will.” - Greg McKeown

How often did I not prioritize my life and ended up doing things that felt like a waste of time, energy or money?
Let me tell you: It happens to me all the time.

While I have become better to ruthlessly prioritize the most essential things in my life, I still feel myself bombarded by attention-seeking advertisements, exciting sounding projects and well-meant proposals of how to spend my time.
I, like many other essentialists in this world, had to
wake up to the truth that if we are not crystal clear on what we want for ourselves, others will decide what they want for us.

What happens is that we often divert our energy into many different directions without really making significant progress. Rather we feel like we are walking in circles. Plus, it feels unfulfilling because we don’t really get to the things that are important for us. That is, as one of my favorite teachers puts it, the way of the non-Essentialist.

You may have heard this too often already but it is worth repeating: It does not have to be like that. You have a unique human ability: The ability to choose.

But to be able to prioritize, you need to protect your ability to prioritize. So in order to actually pursue the things that are most important for me, I realize that I have to take care of myself first.

For me,
the most essential piece to the puzzle of life is a powerful body that is able to prioritize, buffer stressful periods in life but also significantly increase the quality of my everyday experiences.

We all know how it feels like when we do not properly care for our bodies. While we kind of get along in a semi-healthy state, we are missing out. Big time. And our body is something that we should not miss out on. It feels more like living in a black and white movie, especially when you know how your body can feel like.

In fact, I believe that a healthy and powerful body is not optional. It is a prerequisite for a life full of vivid color.

So the first hard realization that I had to wake up to and remind myself constantly is that there are a small amount of things that are actually essential for me in my life. Secondly, I learned that I have to put first things first in my life: Having a body that not only supports but greatly enhances the experience of what matters to me.

But it does not stop there. While we are already walking the way of the essentialist, why not walk a little further? That is exactly what I did.

I asked myself: “What are the most important things I can do in order to create a healthy body for the rest of my life?” In short, an essentialist body.

Out of that question, my mission was born.
I serve you to create a powerful body that fuels you for the rest of your life, the essentialist way.

What is the benefit of doing it the essentialist way? Let me tell you:

Create time.

Prioritizing the essentials creates time because we can confidently throw out the things that are non-essential, which usually take up a lot of our time.

Feel empowered.

Focusing on what truly matters for you feels empowering because you feel like you are spending your time & energy the right way.

Move forward.

The essentials actually make a difference in your life. You focus your energy into the directions that you actually want to go, and thus you move forward. Significantly.

See the big picture.

For me, essentialism is about realizing that all parts of the system need to be taken care of in order for the whole system to work. Thus, we care for your whole body while focusing only on the essentials for every part of the system.

How to get started?

Many roads lead to success. I can only offer you my way.

I believe that there are many essential practices that you could start with to be healthy & fit.
However, I have found a workout to be  the perfect place to start.

Why? Because it is immediately rewarding for your mind & body and gives you one crucial aspect in life: momentum.

Once that momentum is build, I am happy to expand into other practices that follow the essentialist way.

The workout I fell in love with is "10X". It is the embodiment of the essentialist way for your fitness.

Let me tell you in one sentence why 10X is worth your time:

Whole-body fitness to build strength, muscle & endurance in 30 min/week.
